The Company
Representing 25 brands and 1000 customers, Jenks Sales Brokers Ltd is a leading UK sales and marketing company with over 45 years trading experience.
Based in Buckinghamshire, Jenks works on behalf of consumer goods companies to improve their product availability and sales within the UK Grocery, Impulse, Foodservice, Pharmacy and Convenience trade channels.
Background
Jenks recognised a need to maximise the return on their Business Intelligence investment based on Microsoft SQL Server and Analysis Services and to future proof their technology platform by upgrading their installation of Crystal Enterprise to BusinessObjects Enterprise XI.
They were looking for a partner that was skilled in both the Business Objects and Microsoft technologies.
Jenks' business requirement was a sales reporting solution to provide accurate, timely and interactive reports on key metrics including trends and product mixes.
Solution
Contemporary's solution was to develop a web-based sales analysis system which reports against an OLAP data mart built using information extracted from a legacy ERP solution. The data was further enriched through the application of extended product and customer attributes that are entered and modified through an online form.
Jenks pride themselves on providing pro-active and speedy responses to the needs of their customers. This reporting solution gives their office and field sales and marketing teams quicker, more reliable access to core sales information and allows them to better plan and react to customer and principal demands.
Results
